Introduction: conservation as a cultural and philosophical issues; architectural conservation and restoration; urban conservation and recovery 1. Theory and methods: a historical overview, the principles, the methods of conservation and restoration 2. Technologies: visual impairment, the old and the new structures, pathology, and treatment of the materials (stone, brick, mortars, wood, reinforced concrete), security, consolidation, and protection from moisture, vibration, biological agents, fire fighting, natural disasters, wars, 3. A methodology for the development of a project for the conservation and restoration |
