| The objectives of the program |
A study of the basic principles of the planning and design of residential buildings. Knowledge and understanding of the basic types of residential buildings, the classroom, and program characteristics, and their historical and contemporary contexts, and the development of the ability to consider the planning, programming, and design.

| Contents |
- Housing policy; terms for a definition; typology, methodology of the design.
- Multi-family building: principles of design; the structure, content, form; typology of approaches/communication systems, the composition of the plan, the fixed and variable elements. Flat as a physical/program unit: typology, structure, organization, flexibility in size.
- Architectural typology: apartment blocks and residential towers; characteristics of a type, the composition of the plan/the structure of the elements/organization/formation.
- An overview of the prototypes of the modern buildings and the рецентни projects.
- Accommodation in a family house: the evolution of the станбеното place of residence, from the into the modern era to a new simplicity to the едносемејната the house; the model of the urban housing: a classic – concept – Paladio, spacious and plan the Game, free plans – Le Corbusier; the houses in the countryside; principles of design; an overview on the prototypes, and the recent projects.
- Living in a small dense residential structures: the molecular/linear/дворна; the planning of the cluster environments;
- Multi-family small living structures: typology, the aspects of the group, the urban patterns, approaches, and concepts in the app, a mutual relation;
- Multi-family a residential structure with a combined approach: diversity in the types of housing; freedom in the shaping / the new housing landscape; a review of the recent projects with a low level of heavy construction.
