Course objectives (competences) The connection of art with the architecture, and the unity of their knowledge. Students will be trained on the art and visual design of the scenic space, the work, and composing a complex artistic-aesthetic-architecture as a whole.
The content of the program Brief history of theatrical space/scenography; Analysis of relevant examples; Types of scenography – Drama, Ballet, Opera, Film, TV, Virtual spaces; Kinetic sculpture/object; Expression of subtext; Visual dramaturgy; Scenographic elements: decor, costume, props, color, light, sound; The logic of color; Color as an emotional palette; The stage as the architecture of performance; Space generates meanings; Light and stage lighting; Projection of examples; Analysis of space; Sketches, digital 3D model or mock-up; Explication, discussion and evaluation of the project.
Methods of teaching Lectures, demonstrations/presentations, and chat. Practice through interactive lectures, demonstration, documentation, and experimentation.
