| Course objectives (competences) | The acquisition of the theoretical knowledge from the field of economic, social studies of cities and towns, capacity for independent work and the work of the institutions of the state and the NGOS. |
| The content of the program | Sociology of the city are: the subject, method, and significance; the City through space and time; the Social problems and the city: urban poverty, поделеноста in the city, the city as a social, economic, and organizational form; the Urban way of life, the socio-psychological approach; Globalization, differentiation, homogenization, (techno-city, a cyber-room, a multi-cultural city); the Sustainable city: Urban communities; Segregation ethnic and social characteristics; the Planning of the city; the City in the post-socialistic states; Cities and towns in Macedonia, sociological, economic, and spatial characteristics. |
